A Message from Kathy Smith
Hi Everyone,
I’m writing to let you know that I’m planning to retire at the end of this year. As many of you have done, it’s now my turn to move into the retirement phase of my life. It’s impossible for me to express what a pleasure it has been working with all of you over the last 22 years… with some of you it’s been even longer!
Goodness, can all of you believe I’ve been here that long? When I first started, back in 1996, I was only going to work for 5 years! The joke around here is that Kathy was on a “five-year contract” and I just kept re-upping every 5 years. Truthfully, it’s been my connection with all of you (and not wanting to give that up) that has kept me here this long.
My husband Bob has been encouraging me to retire for the last couple years and I am now taking him up on it. We’ll just have to see how he feels once he has me around 24/7… after all, since his retirement, it’s been his domain and his kitchen. I told him he can keep the kitchen ?!!
As I enter this new chapter, I’m looking forward to travelling a bit with Bob (hoping for a trip to Hawaii soon) and spending some time with our grandkids and great grandkids.
I’m leaving you all in good hands with the team at Hardworking Capital. Christina Hammer is my replacement and am confident that you will like and trust her as much as I do.
I will truly miss all of you and wish good things for all of you going forward.
Love to all!!
Kathy
